Overview
This is a secondary school 14 & 16 Years boys and girls Futsal tournament organized be "Queensland School Futsal" for interstate and international school futsal teams.
In 2026, the inaugural year of the competition, the tournament is open to all schools in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The tournament will have a maximum of 16 teams in each division with 4 positions automatically allocated to Queensland schools.
All schools from New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital territory, Northern territory, New Zealand and Asia are then invited to nominate teams, to fill the remaining 12 positions.
International teams will be given preference and other positions then will be equally divided amongst other states.
The future intention is to have the top two (or four) winning teams from each of the state and country's tournaments to participate in the Australian School Futsal Cup.
Football Queensland are fully supportive of the competition, providing referees for the tournament.
Veto Sports, Pro-Player, Deploy and Futsal Kingdom are the major sponsors of the ASF Cup and provide supplying match balls, carnival t shirts and team apparel.
Date: - Monday 16th to Friday 20th November 2026
These 5 days are in week 7 of term 4 in the Public Secondary school’s calendar and is usually free from assessment or other school commitments. There are also very few clashes with club football/futsal and country regions.
Venue: - Coomera Indoor Sports Centre – Coomera, Qld
The Coomera Indoor Centre was a host venue during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. It is a multipurpose venue with 8 multisport courts and can host basketball, netball, futsal, badminton and more. Age Groups: - 14 & 16 (and under) Boys and Girls

16 Age eligibility – Students cannot turn 17 or over in the year of competition

Girls can play in the Boys competition as long as the school does not enter a a Girls team.

Match Format:
Match times - 2 x 20 min halves with 1 time out per half / Full FFA match rules
Tournament Format:
The ASF Cup tournament will have the following format: -

Once nominations are finalized, the 16 schools will be systematically placed in 2 Pools of 8 teams.

The 16 teams will “randomly” be drawn at an online meeting and placed in 2 pools of 8 teams.

Each team in their respective pools will play each other once over 3 days and then be ranked according to points from wins, draws and goal difference.

Teams that finish in the top 4 places from the round matches will be placed in the ASF Cup competition.

Teams that finish in 5th to 8th position from the round matches will be placed into the ASF Shield competition.

Each team in the Cup and Shield competition on Day 5 will play elimination quarter finals, semifinals and Grand finals.

The losing teams form the Quarter final and Semifinals will play consolation finals for medals and final positions
Referees: - 2 Football Australia refs per Court
Football Australia in conjunction with Football Qld will provide referees and each game will have 2 refs on each court (At least one senior referee per court)

Sports Trainers: -
Fully qualified sports trainers will be available during the day
Cost: - approx. $480 per team (tbc)
This nomination fee will cover venue hire, referees, and administartion costs. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 9 - Full 2 x 20 min halves with FFA match rules
FQ or the QSF will invoice all participating schools at the beginning of week 1, Term 4.
