#ALWAYSVETO Knockout Futsal Cup                                    Details

Overview: - The #ALWAYSVETO Knockout Futsal Cup  

This is a Queensland secondary school 14 years, boys and girls Futsal knockout tournament (previously known as the Summit Sport Cup) organized by the QSF and FQ, open to all schools in Queensland. The #ALWAYSVETO Knockout Futsal Cup will be divided into 2 Queensland conferences - Northern & Darling Downs (Peninsula, Nth Qld, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Darling Downs) and Southern (Metropolitan East, West, North, Sunshine Coast, South Coast) with the top 4 finalists from each conference invited to participate in the Queensland Summit Sport Cup finals at Coomera ISC in Term 3.

The Summit Sport Cup provides the opportunity for all schools to participate and compete against other schools within their district, region and state. In the inaugural year the 14 years Summit Sport Cup all nominations from each of the two conferences will be accepted (with possible qualifying rounds) Nomination forms are due by Friday 27th January Week 1, Term 1, 2023.


Dates: -

Draw to be announced in Week 2, Term 1

Round 1 matches - to be completed by Week 8, Term 1 

Round 2 matches - to completed by the end of Week 4, Term 2.

Round 3 matches - to be completed before the end of Week 8 of Term 2.

Finals will take place at Coomer Indoor Sports Centre on Monday 11 September in Term 3 

                   

Venues: - School or associated venues

Teams drawn as “Home” teams are to organize the venue and referees. (All costs are the responsibility of the Home team.

(Home and away team draw will be announced after Friday 27th January 2023)


Age Groups: - 14 and under Boys and Girls

  • All students can only participate in one division.

  • Age eligibility – Students must be 14 or under (students cannot turn 15 in the year of competition)


Tournament Format: -

The Summit Sport Cup will have the following format: -


Once nominations are finalized, a random draw will select Home and Away teams. (Announced 27/1/23 on QSF website)


Round 1 (32 Teams – 16 matches) - Home teams must contact the Away teams and organizes dates, venues and referees for the matches.


Round 2 (16 teams – 8 matches) - A second randomized draw may be made from the Round 1 winners and Home teams will contact away teams and organize dates, venues and referees


Round 3 (8 teams – 4 matches)- A third randomized draw may be made from the Round 2 winners and Home teams will contact away teams and organize dates, venues and referees


Finals – the Round 3 winners will be invited to the Finals Gala Day at Coomera Indoor Sports centre on Monday 11th September


Referees: - Football Qld refs per Court

All Home teams should source referees and each game should aim to have 2 qualified referees on each court (At least one senior referee per court) It is preferred that all referees are FQ registered referees. Student referees are welcome to officiate as second and third assistant referees)



Match Times and Rules:            

20 min halves with 5 min halftime and one time out per team per match. Full FFA Rules apply to all matches except there is

no stop the clock”

                                                                   

Age Groups:                       

14 years Boys and Girls (Students must not turn 15 or older in the year of competition) 


Competition costs:          

The only costs for schools are the costs for referees. Referees for home matches are to be sourced by the school sports or Futsal coordinators and payment is to be organised by the school. If schools are hosting matches at outside venues rather than the hosts school facility, then it is the host schools hiring responsibility. SFL Match balls will be supplied by Summit Sport.                        


Team Size:                      

Maximum match day squads are 10 boys and 10 girls per team                           


Sponsors & Uniforms:     

Summit Sport are the official sponsors of the SS Cup and will supply all Match Balls. Summit Sports can supply Team uniforms and official’s polos with QSF logos and School crests and all Futsal related training equipment. All teams must have matching numbered shirts, shorts and socks.


Results & forms:                    

All results are to be recorded on QSF Official Match sheets which are available on the QSF website All results and match cards need to be sent to aprad2@eq.edu.au by 9.00am on the morning following the matches. The results for all matches will be posted on the QSF Website as soon as possible.


Draw:                                                     

The Draw will be finalised by the end of Week 1, Term 1, 2023. Current exemplar draws are located on the website


School Details:                         

All School Details and Individual School Information forms will be placed on the “Schools Directory” on the website. A 2023 QSF school detail sheet will need to be completed once confirmed in the 2023 SS Cup


Match Day Procedures:   

Match day procedures containing centre “set up” suggestions can be found on the website


Reports and Discipline Committee:        

A discipline committee of 2 teachers will be selected before the start of the SS Cup that will decide on all consequences from disciplinary reports.


Final Series:                   

The “Finals Series” involving the top 4 teams from each conference will decide the SS Cup Champions for each age division.

Venue and date tbc. Costs for Venue / referee/ Sports med will be divided by the number of teams competing at the finals.
